About Marica
You built a life and a career abroad that work on paper. And at some point, you stopped recognising yourself in them. On the outside, you keep performing. On the inside, something is crumbling.
I know that position
I left Italy while I was still at university. My parents were worried. I could not wait.
I did not have a plan for how my life abroad would unfold. I just knew I wanted to find out what I could build for myself.
What followed was much bigger than a move to another country.
I learned a new language, adapted to different cultures and built a corporate career from scratch. Over the years, I created a life abroad that looked increasingly successful from the outside.
And for a long time, it felt right.
Then something changed.
The life I had worked hard to build no longer felt like such an obvious fit. I could keep progressing, taking the next role and doing what I had become very good at, but I had started questioning whether that was still the direction I wanted my life to take.
Living abroad made that question more complicated.
When you have spent years building a life away from home, decisions rarely exist in isolation. Work, identity, belonging, family expectations, financial security and the person you have become all start to overlap.
Even now, when I go back to Italy, the question sometimes comes: “When are you coming back for good?”
After years abroad, home is no longer quite as simple as a place you return to. You change. What matters to you changes too.
That experience shapes the work I do today.
I work with people living abroad who have built a life that works, but have reached the point where they are questioning what still fits and what they want next.
Sometimes the hardest part is recognising that the life you worked so hard to build needs to evolve with you.

I work with people living abroad who are carrying more than one kind of pressure at once, enough that it gets hard to tell where other people’s expectations end and your own choices begin. Together we separate your own voice from everything that has been speaking over it, so you can understand what you want now and start building towards it without blowing up everything you have worked for.
My role is to help you work out what you actually want from your career
It’s to slow things down enough that you can hear yourself and understand what you actually want, then make decisions that are right for you, not just acceptable to everyone else.
If you are successful on paper but feel lost underneath it, you are not broken or too late.
You may just be ready for a different kind of life.
If that sounds like you, let’s talk.
